Unfortunately, the first defeat of Simba's career came against Frans Botha on June 4th, 2011 in Simba's 11th professional fight. Frans Botha became the first person to stop Simba. The win came via TKO in the 6th round of a 10 round bout. Simba then went on to face Thamsanqa Dube where he added another win to his tally.

Taking another knock in his career, Danie Venter was next in line for Simba with Venter coming out victorious. Simba career was at 11-2-0 following the fight. Venter upset Simba, stopping him in the 1st round and becoming only the 2nd person to stop Simba. Simba then went on to win again against Daniel Bruwer setting him up well for his next pro fight.

Simba's career took a knock with a loss against Thabiso Mchunu on June 16th, 2012 taking his record to 12-3-0. Mchunu upset Simba, stopping him in the 1st round and becoming only the 3rd person to stop Simba.
