With plenty of experience and now 10 fights as a pro, Ekundayo hopes to move on to better things in future as he moves into the later stages of his career. He started his best winning streak on March 2012 however, this came to an end on October 2015. In this period he won a total of 9 fights.
In a great debut, Ekundayo took on Ben Deghani in a 4 round fight, becoming the 5th person to stop Deghani in his 7 fight career to date. Ekundayo built on his successful start to his career by fighting 3 times in 2012 and once in 2013 which included fights against Craig Mcewan, Howard Cospolite and Ben Deghani to name just a few.
Ekundayo kept his losses at 0 by beating Craig Mcewan on November 3rd, 2012. In 2012 Ekundayo fought his next opponent in Craig Mcewan. A challenging 3 round fight that ended in Ekundayo's favour as the judges awarded Ekundayo the SD victory. Ekundayo was the 3rd person to defeat Mcewan. Ekundayo's win streak of 5 rose to 8 following 3 great wins, becoming the 2nd person to defeat Howard Cospolite, 9th person to beat Stanislav Nenkov and 5th person to defeat Samet Hyuseinov.
Joseph Lamptey was up next for Ekundayo on October 30th, 2015. Ekundayo continued with his winning streak by beating Lamptey. Ekundayo secured the win over Lamptey after the final bell via PTS, resulting in Ekundayo being the 7th person to defeat Lamptey.
Larry Ekundayo was beaten by Gary Corcoran on July 8th, 2017 in his most recent bout. This took his record to 9-1-0. In a courageous battle, Corcoran's skill was too great over the 12 rounds for Ekundayo as he got handed his first pro defeat. With plenty of options still available to Ekundayo, it's unlikely this is the last we'll see of him.
