Junior anthony Wright started off his pro career aged 25 and currently has a record of 12-1-1. Wright now looks to build on the experience gained in his first 14 fights. He started his best winning streak on October 2011 however, this came to an end on February 2014. In this period he won a total of 10 fights.
In a memorable debut Wright gained a KO win against Darrion Fletcher in a 4 round contest, becoming the 2nd person to stop Fletcher. Following his debut, Wright had an impressive start to his career as he went on to win his next 7 fights including once in 2011 and 2 times in 2013 fighting the likes of as Nick Reeder, Chris Thomas and Tim Johnson.
Nick Kisner was beaten next on August 16th, 2013 meaning Wright could maintain his unbeaten streak. In what was a true showing of Wright's technical ability, Wright got the decision in the 6 round fight, and became the first person to beat Kisner. 2 wins followed taking Wright's winning streak to 10 wins.
Stivens Bujaj was Wright's next fight on May 15th, 2014. The result was an even draw. This took his record to 10-0-1, this was Wright first fight that didn't end in a win. Wright was the 3rd person to go the distance with Bujaj. Wright fought Stivens Bujaj in 2014, the result was a draw. Wright then went on to win again against Marlon Hayes setting him up well for his next pro fight.
Pushing his career further, Wright fought Jim Franklin on February 19th, 2016 adding to his winning record. The 6 round fight ended in the 1st round via TKO crowning Wright as only the 14th to stop Franklin.
Wright went into his next fight against Beibut Shumenov on May 21st, 2016 with a career record of 12 wins. Beibut Shumenov became the first person to stop Wright. The win came via TKO in the 10th round of a 12 round bout. Although this has knocked Wright, let's hope we see another fight of his soon.
