Early Career

In a great first showing as a pro, Tatakhun took Banza Mwilambwe the full 6 to claim his first win and became the first person to take Mwilambwe the full distance. Following his debut, Tatakhun had an impressive start to his career as he went on to win his next 28 fights including once in 2003, 7 times in 2004 and 20 times between 2005 and 2009 against the likes of Yoddamrong Sithyodthong, Yoddamrong Sithyodthong and Rolando Gerongco.

On June 5th, 2009 Tatakhun fought and beat Jonel Alibio (12-8-2) to continue his unbeaten streak. Tatakhun was the first person to stop Jonel Alibio and he did it in the 11th round via KO.

Suriya Tatakhun Vs Edgar Gabejan

Edgar Gabejan was beaten next on September 4th, 2009 meaning Tatakhun could maintain his unbeaten streak. Gabejan was a worthy challenger but Tatakhun was too much and became the first person to stop Gabejan via RTD during round 7. 12 wins followed where Tatakhun went on to be the 2nd person to stop Jun Talape, 2nd person to stop Yulio Moro and 2nd person to stop Roel Laguna (Round 10 KO).

On November 9th, 2012, Tatakhun took on and was defeated by Chris John in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 43-1-0. Coming into the fight with high confidence Tatakhun fought his next fight against Chris John on November 9th, 2012. Unfortunately, Tatakhun was outclassed and lost the decision on the judges scorecards taking his record to 43-1-0. 9 wins followed where Tatakhun went on to fight Yon Armed, Eddy Comaro and Nouldy Manakane amongst others, prolonging his win streak.

Suriya Tatakhun Vs Sadiki Momba

Keeping his losses at 2, Tatakhun fought on January 15th, 2016 beating Sadiki Momba via TKO. This took his record to 52-2-0 showing quite the successful career to date. Tatakhun was the 3rd person to stop Sadiki and he did it in the 3rd round via TKO. The fight was due to last 12 rounds.

Latest Fight

On July 16th, 2016, Tatakhun took on and was defeated by Miguel Berchelt meaning his career tally went to 52-3-0 This bout proved to be the toughest of Tatakhun's 55 career fights to date. Berchelt was too skilful and took 4 rounds to dispose of Tatakhun. This was Tatakhun's first stoppage defeat as he looks to move on and rebuild going forwards.
