Minamoto kept his losses at 3 by beating Seizo Kono on April 9th, 2014. The 8 round fight ended in the 6th round via TKO crowning Minamoto as only the 2nd to stop Kono.
Minamoto's next defeat of his career came against Yukinori Hisanaga on August 11th, 2014. Opponent Hisanaga fought well and proved he was technically superior to Minamoto over the full 8 round fight. The fight came to a close after the final bell, Hisanaga the victor on the judges decision (UD), with Minamoto left wondering where his career will go next.
