Born November 4th 1987, orthodox fighter Andrzej Fonfara started his career in June 2006 at the age of 18 and has now been pro for 10 years, fighting a total of 35 times. Fonfara's longest KO streak is 9 fights long out of his 35 pro career fights.
Setting up his pro career well and building his confidence in the pro ring, Fonfara became the 4th person to take Miroslav Kubik the distance and claimed a MD debut win. Fonfara's win streak of 4 rose to 10 following 6 great wins, becoming the 5th person to go the distance with Luis Hodge, 2nd person to stop Dave Saunders (Round 1 KO) and 2nd person to beat Jorge alberto Gonzalez.
Fonfara went into his next fight against Derrick Findley on July 11th, 2008 with a career record of 10-2-0. Fonfara failed to reach the later rounds of this tough 8 round fight, Findley was too much and stopped Fonfara early to become the only person to stop Fonfara. The fight ended in round 2 via TKO. 13 wins followed where Fonfara went on to fight Glen Johnson, Byron Mitchell and Roger Cantrell amongst others, prolonging his win streak.
Fonfara went into his next career fight with a record of 22-2-1 and took this to 23 wins with a win against Tommy Karpency on November 16th, 2012. Fonfara was the first person to stop Tommy Karpency and he did it in the 7th round via TKO. Fonfara continued his success in the next 4 fights taking his record to 26 wins, 3 losses and 1 draws.
On April 18th, 2015, Fonfara went into action again and beat Julio cesar Chavez jr taking the winning record to 27 wins. Becoming the first person to stop Julio cesar Chavez jr, Fonfara beat Chavez jr via RTD in the 9th round of a 12 round fight. Fonfara then went on to fight a further 2 fights taking his record to 28-4-1
Fonfara kept his losses at 4 by beating Chad Dawson on March 4th, 2017. Fonfara was the 3rd person to stop Chad and he did it in the 10th round via TKO.
Taking another knock in his career, Fonfara fought Adonis Stevenson on June 3rd, 2017 and was defeated by Stevenson. A great performance by opponent Stevenson added a 3rd stoppage defeat to Fonfara's career. Fonfara was outmatched and the fight was brought to a halt in round 2 via TKO.
