Franco's winning streak went from 16 wins to 18 after he then defeated boxers including Adolfo Landeros and Martin Armenta.
On May 21st, 2011 Franco fought and beat Rafael Lora (11-5-0) to continue his unbeaten streak. Franco's UD win against Rafael Lora came via judges decision of a 8 round fight. Franco became the 6th person to defeat Lora and secured a great win.
Michael Franco failed to add another win to his record by losing against Orlando Cruz on October 14th, 2011, taking his record to 19-1-0. In the latest fight of Franco's career, Cruz was a push too far for Franco and after a tough fight Cruz became the first person to beat and stop Franco in round 1.
