In a memorable debut Cote gained a KO win against Martin Huppe in a 4 round contest, becoming the 3rd person to stop Huppe. Cote built on his successful start to his career by fighting 4 times in 2008 and once in 2010 which included fights against Ramon elizer Esperanza, Luis Acevedo and Juan carlos Pastrana to name just a few.
Damian Tinker was beaten next on April 25th, 2008 meaning Cote could maintain his unbeaten streak. In 2008 Cote fought his next opponent Damian Tinker and defeated him via UD. Cote was the 4th person to go the distance with Tinker. Taking his record to 3-0-0. Cote then went on to win his next fight against Juan carlos Pastrana.
Next was Ramon elizer Esperanza on October 24th, 2008 where Cote took the win continuing his unbeaten streak. A great showing of his boxing ability, Cote became the first person to beat Ramon elizer Esperanza, beating him over the 4 round distance resulting in a UD victory. 11 wins followed where Cote went on to be the 4th person to stop Walter sergio Gomez (Round 6 KO), 6th person to stop Michael Lozada and 8th person to stop Cesar Soriano.
Aris Ambriz was Cote's next fight on May 7th, 2011 and also his next win in his career. Cote was the first person to stop Aris Ambriz and he did it in the 4th round via TKO. Taking his record to 17-0-0. Cote then went on to win his next fight against Pedro Navarrete.
On November 5th, 2011, Cote was in action again beating Jorge luis Teron taking his win streak to 18 wins. The 12 round fight ended in the 2nd round via KO crowning Cote as only the 2nd to stop Teron in his career.
The unbeaten run continued with the defeat of Mark Lloyd in his latest fight on May 26th, 2012, taking his winning record to 19 wins. Cote was the 2nd fighter to stop Lloyd in round 5 of a 8 round fight, Cote won via TKO.
