Quintero lost to Tyrone Harris in his next fight. Taking place on July 31st, 2009, Quintero's career record after this fight stood at 16-2-0. Quintero fought Tyrone Harris and was defeated via TKO in the 10 round bout. This was Quintero's 2nd stoppage defeat in his career which came in the 8th round. 4 wins followed where Quintero went on to be the 2nd person to stop Luis Gonzalez, 7th person to stop Walter Estrada (Round 2 KO) and 7th person to stop Jean javier Sotelo.
Quintero's career took a knock with a loss against Daniel Attah on November 6th, 2010 taking his record to 20-3-0. Quintero's fight against Daniel Attah was Quintero's 3rd stoppage defeat which came via KO in the 2nd round of the fight. Quintero then went on to win a further 4 fights taking his record to 24 wins, 3 losses and 0 draws.
Quintero kept his losses at 3 by beating Al Sabaupan on April 21st, 2012. Becoming the first person to stop Al Sabaupan, Quintero beat Sabaupan via TKO in the 9th round of a 12 round fight.
On May 6th, 2016, Quintero took on and was defeated by Petr Petrov meaning his career tally went to 26-6-0 Left wondering where Quintero's career will go next, Petrov became only the 5th man to stop Quintero in the 6th round of a 10 round fight.
