Starting his career in October 2007 at the age of 24, orthodox boxer Tony Bellew has now been pro for 11 years and has built up a career of 30-3-1. Bellew now moves into the final stages of his career. He started his best winning streak on October 2007 however, this came to an end on July 2011. In this period he won a total of 16 fights.

Early Career

An explosive pro debut saw Bellew face Jamie Ambler in a 4 round debut fight. Tony became only the 3rd person to stop Ambler shy of the full distance, stopping him in the 2nd. Following on from his debut, Bellew continued his mostly successful career by fighting in a further 17 fights. In this time he fought Bob Ajisafe, Jindrich Velecky and Mathew Ellis to name just a few, fighting 3 times in 2007, 5 times in 2008 and 9 times through 2009, 2010 and 2011 in this period.

On October 15th, 2011, Bellew took on and was defeated by Nathan Cleverly in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 16-1-0. On October 15th, 2011, Bellew took on and was defeated over the distance by Nathan Cleverly in his first career defeat. Bellew lost via MD in a valiant effort. Bellew then went on to win a further 5 fights taking his record to 20 wins, 1 losses and 1 draw.

Tony Bellew Vs Adonis Stevenson

Taking a knock to his career, Bellew fought and was defeated by Adonis Stevenson on November 30th, 2013 taking his record to 20-2-1. Bellew's fight against Adonis Stevenson was Bellew's first stoppage defeat. This came via TKO in the 6th round of a 12 round fight. Bellew then went on to face Valery Brudov where he added another win to his tally.

On July 12th, 2014, Bellew went into action again and beat Julio cesar Dos santos taking the winning record to 22 wins. Bellew's fight against Julio cesar Dos santos came in the 5th round of a 12 round fight via TKO. Bellew became the first person to stop Dos santos. Fights against Ilunga Makabu, Nathan Cleverly, Mateusz Masternak and 2 others followed where he won all 5 fights taking his winning streak to 27 wins.

Furthering his career, Bellew fought Bj Flores on October 15th, 2016 and continued his career to a record of 28-2-1. The win came via TKO. Bellew's fight against Bj Flores came in the 3rd round of a 12 round fight via TKO. Bellew became the first person to stop Flores. Bellew then went on to win again against David Haye setting him up well for his next pro fight.

Pushing his career further, Bellew fought David Haye on May 5th, 2018 adding to his winning record. The win against Haye happened in the 5th round of a 12 round fight via TKO.

Latest Fight

Taking another knock in his career, Bellew fought Oleksandr Usyk on November 10th, 2018 and was defeated by Usyk. Once again Bellew was in a tough fight, one that proved to be a step too far in Bellew's latest fight. Opponent Usyk fought well and was rewarded with a win, and crowned only the 2nd man to stop Bellew in the process. The fight ended in round 8 via TKO.
