An explosive pro debut saw Carr face Fabian Sullivan in a 4 round debut fight. Jake became only the 2nd person to stop Sullivan shy of the full distance, stopping him in the 1st. Following his debut, Carr had an impressive start to his career as he went on to win his next 6 fights including 2 times in 2012 and 4 times in 2013 fighting the likes of as Joel Bourke, Zac Awad and Serge Yannick.
On December 13th, 2013 Carr fought and beat Zac Awad (18-3-1) to continue his unbeaten streak. Carr's fight against Zac Awad came in the 6th round of a 10 round fight via TKO. Carr became the first person to stop Awad. Carr's win streak of 6 rose to 10 following 4 great wins, becoming the first boxer to go the distance with Dane Mulivai, First to beat Renold Quinlan and 15th person to beat Joe Rea.
On August 8th, 2015 Carr fought and beat Togasilimai Letoa (15-16-1) to continue his unbeaten streak. The win against Letoa happened in the 6th round of a 8 round fight via TKO.
The unbeaten run continued with the defeat of Juan Adrian Monzon in his latest fight on December 9th, 2017, taking his winning record to 12 wins. Carr showed his exceptional talent against Monzon becoming the first of 12 fighters to stop him. The win came for Carr in the 6th via TKO. Carr now moves up the ladder to greater things.
