Taking a knock to his career, Barragan fought and was defeated by Mark Flanagan on March 17th, 2018 taking his record to 16-3-0. Barragan fought Mark Flanagan and was defeated via TKO in the 10 round bout. This was Barragan's 3rd stoppage defeat in his career which came in the 6th round.
Furthering his career, Barragan fought Yuberty Suarez diaz on April 21st, 2018 and continued his career to a record of 17-3-0. The win came via TKO. The 10 round fight ended in the 1st round via TKO crowning Barragan as only the 9th to stop Suarez diaz in his career.
