Although beaten, Akira Yaegashi has gained plenty of experience over 30 fights and a 12 year long career so far. He now moves on to see just how far he can go as he approaches the later stage of his career. He started his best winning streak on March 2005 however, this came to an end on October 2011. Early Career

Yaegashi proved he was made for the pro ranks in his debut against Tomoyoshi Nakayama, becoming the first person in Nakayama's 17 fights to stop him. The fight ended in round 1 of 6. Continuing on from his debut, Yaegashi had an impressive start to his career as he went on to fight 15 fights including 4 times in 2005, 2 times in 2006 and 9 times between 2007 and 2010 against fighters such as Kosuke Takeichi, Junichiro Kaneda and Kenichi Horikawa.

The first defeat of Yaegashi's career came against Eagle den Junlaphan on June 4th, 2007. This took his career record to 6-1-0. Coming into the fight with high confidence Yaegashi fought his next fight against Eagle den Junlaphan on June 4th, 2007. Unfortunately, Yaegashi was outclassed and lost the decision on the judges scorecards taking his record to 6-1-0. 16 wins followed where Yaegashi went on to fight Pornsawan Porpramook, Edgar Sosa and Oscar Blanquet amongst others, prolonging his win streak.

On September 5th, 2014, Yaegashi took on and was defeated by Roman Gonzalez meaning his career tally went to 20-4-0. Roman Gonzalez became the first person to stop Yaegashi. The win came via TKO in the 9th round of a 12 round bout.

Yaegashi lost to Pedro Guevara in his next fight. Taking place on December 30th, 2014, Yaegashi's career record after this fight stood at 20-5-0. Yaegashi was beaten by Pedro Guevara in the 7th round. Yaegashi had only ever been stopped 2 times previously in his career. Fights against Javier Mendoza, Said m Said and Songseanglek Phosuwangym followed where he won all 3 fights taking his winning streak to 23 wins.

Pushing his career further, Yaegashi fought Martin Tecuapetla on May 8th, 2016 adding to his winning record. Yaegashi's SD win against Martin Tecuapetla came via judges decision of a 12 round fight. Yaegashi became the 7th person to defeat Tecuapetla and secured a great win.

Latest Fight

Yaegashi went into his next fight against Milan Melindo on May 21st, 2017 with a career record of 24 wins. Left wondering where Yaegashi's career will go next, Melindo became only the 3rd man to stop Yaegashi in the 1st round of a 12 round fight.
