Gusman's career took a knock with a loss against Paul Butler on October 3rd, 2015 taking his record to 14-2-0. Gusman fought Paul Butler and was defeated via KO in the 10 round bout. This was Gusman's 2nd stoppage defeat in his career which came in the 1st round. Taking his record to 15-2-0. Gusman then went on to win his next fight against Fabian hernan Claro.
Gusman lost to Juan jose Jurado in his next fight. Taking place on May 12th, 2017, Gusman's career record after this fight stood at 15-3-0. Gusman fought a brave fight but in the end was outclassed by Juan jose Jurado over the 10 distance.
Taking another knock in his career, Gusman fought Francisco Rodriguez jr on June 3rd, 2017 and was defeated by Rodriguez jr. Once again Gusman was in a tough fight, one that proved to be a step too far in Gusman's latest fight. Opponent Rodriguez jr fought well and was rewarded with a win, and crowned only the 3rd man to stop Gusman in the process. The fight ended in round 3 via KO.
