On March 23rd, 2012, Ugas took on and was defeated by Johnny Garcia in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 11-1-0. Ugas took on another 2 opponents next, racking up wins against Dedrick Bell and Cosme Rivera.
Ugas entered his next fight with a mostly successful record of 13-1-0 and took this to 14 wins with a win against Adan Hernandez on June 27th, 2013 via KO. The win came in the 1st round of a 10 round fight via KO. Ugas was the 2nd person to stop Adan in his career. Ugas then went on to fight a further 2 fights taking his record to 15-2-0
Taking a knock to his career, Ugas fought and was defeated by Amir Imam on May 10th, 2014 taking his record to 15-3-0. In 2014 Ugas fought his next opponent Amir Imam and was defeated by him via UD. Ugas was the 2nd person to go the distance with Imam.
Yordenis Ugas went into his fight with Levan Ghvamichava on February 2nd, 2017 with 15 wins and he added another win to his record taking it to 16 wins by beating Ghvamichava. Taking his total win streak to 16 wins, Ugas defeated Ghvamichava in the 10 round fight. The win came via TKO in the 2nd round. Ugas was the 2nd to stop Ghvamichava.
