Petrov lost to Ubadel Soto in his next fight. Taking place on September 5th, 2003, Petrov's career record after this fight stood at 7-1-1. On September 5th, 2003, Petrov took on and was defeated over the distance by Ubadel Soto in his first career defeat. Petrov lost via SD in a valiant effort. 22 wins followed where Petrov went on to fight Moises Castro, Ignacio Mendoza and Arturo Uruzquieta amongst others, prolonging his win streak.

Keeping his losses at 2, Petrov fought on May 27th, 2011 beating Angel hugo Ramirez via KO. This took his record to 28-2-2 showing quite the successful career to date. Ramirez proved to be no match for Petrov, and Petrov became the first person to stop Ramirez via KO during round 4. Petrov then went on to win again against Matias Garcia setting him up well for his next pro fight.

Petr Petrov Vs Marcos rene Maidana

Taking another knock in his career, Marcos rene Maidana was next in line for Petrov with Maidana coming out victorious. Petrov career was at 29-3-2 following the fight. Being outclassed early, Petrov struggled to get going in this 12 round fight and received the first stoppage defeat of his career at the hands of Maidana. The fight went 4 rounds before ending via a KO defeat. Petrov then went on to win a further 5 fights taking his record to 33 wins, 4 losses and 2 draw.

Petr Petrov Vs Chris Rudd

Chris Rudd was Petrov's next fight on March 28th, 2014 and also the next win in his career via TKO. This took his record to 34-4-2 showing a mainly successful career to date. Petrov was the first person to stop Chris Rudd and he did it in the 4th round via TKO. 3 wins followed where Petrov went on to be the 2nd person to stop Fernando Carcamo, 5th person to stop Marvin Quintero and 11th person to defeat Gamaliel Diaz.

Petr Petrov Vs Michael Perez

Pushing his career further, Petrov fought Michael Perez on September 30th, 2016 adding to his winning record. The win against Perez came in the 6th round of a 12 round fight via RTD. Petrov was the 2nd person to stop Perez.

Latest Fight

Petrov's next defeat of his career came against Terry Flanagan on April 8th, 2017. A valiant effort from Petrov, but one that was out of his reach technically. The fight came to a close after the final bell in a UD loss for Petrov. A setback for Petrov pro journey for sure.
