Although beaten, Antwone Smith has gained plenty of experience over 30 fights and a 8 year long career so far. He now moves on to see just how far he can go as he approaches the later stage of his career. He started his best winning streak on March 2006 however, this came to an end on April 2010. Smith didn't take long to get comfortable in the pro game, becoming the first person to stop Jesse Francisco (a 0 fight pro) via TKO in the 1st round. Smith continued his mostly successful career with numerous fights following his debut against boxers including Francisco ruben Osorio, Juan camilo Novoa and Aaron Torres. Fights included fighting 2 times in 2006 and 6 times in 2008.
On July 20th, 2007, Smith took on and was defeated by Ed Paredes in his first career defeat meaning his career tally went to 5-1-0. Smith became the first person to stop Crawford. Another win followed for Smith taking his win tally to 18 wins.
Taking a knock to his career, Smith fought and was defeated by Lanardo Tyner on July 9th, 2010 taking his record to 18-2-1. Smith faced the first stoppage of his career against Lanardo Tyner in the 9th round of a 10 round fight via TKO. Fights against boxers including Jose luis Castillo, Jose adelaydo Gonzalez and Ronald Cruz followed where he won 7 fights taking his winning streak to 23 wins.
Smith's next defeat of his career came against Jermall Charlo on August 9th, 2013 taking his career record to 23-5-1. Smith failed to go into the later rounds with Charlo, with Charlo stopping him in the 2nd round and becoming the 2nd person to stop Smith.
Taking another knock in his career, Smith fought Tony Harrison on March 6th, 2015 and was defeated by Harrison. Once again Smith was in a tough fight, one that proved to be a step too far in Smith's latest fight. Opponent Harrison fought well and was rewarded with a win, and crowned only the 3rd man to stop Smith in the process. The fight ended in round 2 via TKO.
