Teper then went on to fight and beat Derric Rossy on July 3rd, 2016 maintaining his unbeaten record. Teper's UD win against Derric Rossy came via judges decision of a 10 round fight. Teper became the 13th person to defeat Rossy and secured a great win.
Erkan Teper failed to add another win to his record by losing against Christian Hammer on October 15th, 2016, taking his record to 16-1-0. Facing his 17th professional opponent in Hammer, Teper was out-boxed over the 12 and suffered his first defeat. The fight ended in a SD result after the final bell. A devastating first defeat for Teper.
