On December 3rd, 2011, Murray took on and was defeated by Brandon Rios meaning his career tally went to 31-2-0. Furthering his career, Murray fought John Simpson on March 1st, 2014 and continued his career to a record of 33-2-0. The win came via TKO. Becoming the 3rd fighter to stop Simpson in his career, Murray beat Simpson via TKO in the 2nd round of a 10 round fight.
