Having started off in the pro game in June 2008 and having built a perfect unbeaten record of 25-0-1, Figueroa (age 35) now looks to move into the later stages of his career and step up against some of the top prospects in the division. Keeping his losses at zero, Figueroa fought on February 27th, 2009 beating Daniel Garcia. Garcia was stopped in the 3rd round via TKO meaning Figueroa was the first person to stop this opponent. Figueroa's win streak of 4 rose to 13 following 9 wins against boxers such as Eric Cruz, Edgar Portillo, Julian Rodriguez and 6 others.
Pushing his career further, Figueroa fought Michael Perez on January 6th, 2012 adding to his winning record. Perez was a worthy challenger but Figueroa was too much and became the first person to stop Perez via RTD during round 6.

Figueroa was the 3rd person to stop Ramon and he did it in the 2nd round via KO. The fight was due to last 10 rounds. Figueroa's win streak of 15 rose to 20 following 5 great wins, becoming the 4th person to stop Robbie Cannon, 4th person to defeat Dominic Salcido and 8th person to stop Alain Hernandez (Round 1 TKO).
Keeping his losses at 0, Figueroa fought on April 20th, 2013 beating Abner Cotto via KO. This took his record to 21-0-1 showing quite the successful career to date. Figueroa's fight against Abner Cotto came in the 1st round of a 10 round fight via KO. Figueroa became the first person to stop Cotto. Figueroa's winning streak went from 21 wins to 23 after he then defeated boxers including Jerry Belmontes and Nihito Arakawa.
Figueroa went into his next career fight with a record of 23-0-1 and took this to 24 wins with a win against Daniel Estrada on August 16th, 2014. Figueroa's fight against Daniel Estrada came in the 9th round of a 12 round fight via KO. Figueroa became the first person to stop Estrada.
In Figueroa's most recent fight, Ricky Burns was handed a beating by Figueroa on May 9th, 2015 to ensure his win record increased further again to 25 wins. Ricky Burns was little match for Figueroa, as Figueroa became only the 5th person to defeat Burns in his most recent fight. The fight went the distance via UD decision.
