Bakhtov went into his next fight against Saul Montana on April 27th, 2005 with a career record of 20-4-0. Bakhtov's fight against Saul Montana was Bakhtov's 3rd stoppage defeat which came via TKO in the 5th round of the fight. 24 wins followed where Bakhtov went on to fight Danny Williams, Steffen Kretschmann and Steffen Kretschmann amongst others, prolonging his win streak.

On June 6th, 2015, Bakhtov took on and was defeated by Arnold Gjergjaj meaning his career tally went to 39-11-0 Fighting over a competitive 12 round bout, Bakhtov was outclassed in his most recent outing taking a UD loss over the distance at the hands of Gjergjaj.
